Contact Sync Broken Again - Series 3 GPS on WatchOS5

Is anyone else having issues with contacts syncing again on WatchOS5? I had this issue during the beta period. But then it resolved in a subsequent beta.

Now it’s back.

I did delete the beta profile from the watch app on the iPhone. Would that have caused the contact sync issue again?

I’ve tried to reset all sync data to no avail.
