I'm thinking about moving away from Android into the iPhone world but I have my issues which I already see with macOS and syncing contacts from my Gmail account. These are postal addresses are suddently the wrong format back in Gmail and German phone numbers are not formated correctly.

German phone numbers are sadly extremely complicated and some have 3 or 4 digit area or network codes and some get the Contacts app in macOS wrong, I fear that iOS does the same. For example it is 0171 7654321 which is correct but 01511 7654321 is displayed as 0151 17654321. Technically it doesn't matter but it annoys me.

The address format always switches to US format when it is synced back to Gmail, so instead of 20095 Hamburg I get Hamburg 20095. Which is also probably just a thing I dislike personally and no-one else has an issue with but it is annoying. Also a reason why haven't much used syncing between macOS and Gmail.

Maybe not a question but more about if there are better ways to sync my contacts with an iPhone than the internal syncing mechanism of iOS.
