I don't know where to place this but i've discovered a very weird bug

I noticed that despite my contact book on yosemite showing a "phone symbol" next to a contacts number, there are certain numbers that would not bring up the mac dialer.

Let's say i have ABC and DEF as a contact

Both of them are in my contact book

ABC can be dialled successfully from the mac (via continuity to my iPhone which suggests its working fine)

DEF however will not dial despite it being a proper number

After some trouble shooting i've noticed something

Numbers added to contacts on the mac work perfectly fine.

Numbers added on the iPhone that sync to the mac don't

The only way to get these numbers dial-able is to edit the number on the mac press the spacebar so the number gets edited and then backspace to get rid of the space. Then it dials proper

I logged into iCloud via safari to see if it was iCloud related and added a number there and it synced over straight away. I then tried to call via the contacts.app and it worked perfectly fine.

All i can conclude is that the iPhone is not syncing number format properly

Any suggestions?
