Contacts and bookmarks gone

Pulled up my contacts and bookmarks today on my iphone an they are gone? Have some history of bookmarks. Deleted my mobile.me account as it was closed as I have a PPC not intel and it shows closed when I tried to access it. Is this the reason they went away? Is there a way to get bookmarks and contacts back on my iPhone 4.

Seems there was a fluke on the phone, after hooking it back up all contacts and bookmarks came back. Not sure what happened but working after hooking back to iTunes?
