Hi everyone. Long time reader and first time poster. IT Architect and Mac user for years.
So wondering if anybody ever noticed the same phenomenon I just had with Contacts & Facebook.
I recently just gave up with the picture synching & extra stuff that the service put in Contacts. Just seemed unnecessary and it junked up my address book. What I did not expect was a performance increase (granted it's anecdotal no stats) after turning off the Contacts functionality.
Anybody have thoughts? Wondering if that synch process burned up CPU cycles I never realized. Definitely noticeable though. Happy but kinda perplexed.
