contacts app crashes when adding a picture?

I have had this happen to me now a few times. I just got my iPhone a few weeks ago, and if I try and take a picture from the contacts app, it crashes. If I take a picture from the camera app and then add it from there, it works. Has anyone else had this problem?

yeah this has been an issue for ages, even my 1st gen iPhone would lag out when I tried to add a photo. Not really worth worrying about yet it is annoying having to ask the person for their number, again, because your superior phone keeps crashing over something simple
