Contacts.app on High Sierra goes unresponsive on a specific user account. Please help.

I'm not sure if it coincides with the upgrade from 10.12->10.13, but when I launch Contacts it goes unresponsive.

If I create a test account and login to iCloud, Contacts launches and downloads my address book with no issue.

I've tried booting in safe mode on my main account and Contacts still goes unresponsive.
I've deleted ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/
and ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist

Contacts will then launch, download from iCloud, and go unresponsive again.
Any suggestions for what to do are much appreciated.
