I don't know if I am just missing something simple, but I've looked everywhere and swear this used to be an option in the Contacts app.

I have 2 email accounts - personal and work. I also have 2 sims - again, personal and work.

If I need to add a contact, I need the ability to add it to my personal account or work account, but I can't seem to find any way to do so? It simply has a "default account" in the Settings for the Contacts app. I thought there used to be a thing, like in Calendar, to tell it which account to add the contact to..

Is this how it is, or am I missing something?

I also wished it was there, many times, but can't remember it ever being there...

Two ways I know of to add a contact to a specific account:
1. (easiest): in the Contacts app, go to the Lists view (the view that lists your accounts with the number of contacts per account. When you're looking at a list of contacts, it's the Back button in the upper left hand corner), then tap the account you want to add a contact to (to see the contacts of that account), and then add the contact. This will add the contact to this account.
2. When adding a contact while in the list that combines All Contacts,(i.e. not the list of a specific account as in the above case), the contact will be added to the Default Account that is set in Settings -> Apps -> Contacts -> Default Account

Knowing the first option, it's not as convenient as having a 'account selector' in the add contact card, but it's doable. The benefit of option 1 is that you see the context (contacts in an account) to which you're going to add a contact, which might be useful too (?)

I hope this helps!
