I use Contacts pretty much, hopping around. Prior to Tahoe, there was a vertical list of the alphabet down the right side of the names list. That seems to be gone. I used to use that to quickly click on a letter to get to names starting with that letter. Now I have to scroll a little, grab the slider, and slide up slowly to get to the right spot - very inefficient.

Is there a way to get the vertical letters visible again, or is there a better way to quickly navigate the contacts app?

Be sure to report this to Apple. If you have warranty on a new device, call them up and ask them how to re-enable the alphabet in Contacts. Remember, you paid for the device, they've made it worse with an update.

Yes, I submitted Feedback. Unfortunately I have no new devices under warranty
