Hi all...i'm inheriting a mini running server 10.8 so I need some info on how the contacts/calendar/ and possibly webdav all work together for the server owner's calendar and contacts. I need to request firewall exceptions through our university firewall and change the hostname of the server.
After changing the host name of the server, will the clients currently accessing it for the calendar/contacts still be able to see the instance of those if they merely edit the server name in the client app accounts (iOS, mbpro, etc)? Ie..where does the data for the current instance of the calendar and contacts live?
Does running the contacts and calendar services on the server to access via iCal/contacts on a client, require running imap/pop3, webDav, LDAP, smtp and any other services on the server as well?
Thanks in advance.
