Contacts duplicated after upgrade to iOS 5.0.0
I'm new to Mac's etc. and Sync'ing, so this is probably a real newbie problem. I couldn't find anything in the archives.
After installing iOS 5.0.0 on my Touch and sync'ing, all of my Contacts on the Touch were duplicated. I haven't sync'ed it since as I'm not sure what might happen. The iPad syncs just fine and everything is OK on the Mac. I don't want to delete half of 864 contacts.
I don't know much about this, but I think if I delete all the cards from the iPod they will be deleted from the Mac when I sync.
All I can think of is to;
Export as an archive from the Mac.
Delete all cards from all 3 machines.
Import the archive back into the Mac.
Sync the iPad and the iPod from iTunes.
Will this even work? Is there a better, safer option?
iPod Touch 64gb 4G iOS 5.0.1
Computer = Mac Mini Snow Leopard 10.6.8 iTunes 10.5.1(42)
iPad = 1G Wi-Fi 16gb iOS 4.3.5 (8L1)
