Contacts: From a Uk Vodafone sim to a o2 2g

This is something i need to try and do NOW ! as i need a copy of my contacts on this new 2g for the morning. the phone is Jailbreaked etc

will it read off my sim contact list and store them. then i can insert a new )2 simplicity sim
