I am trying to copy my contact list from my iMac to my iPhone SE (the older one) and I just can't see how to do it.
I thought I could do this with iTunes but don't see how. I am still using Mojave and iTunes.
Can someone tell me how to get those contact files to my iPhone? I have hundreds of contacts on my computer and only about 8 contacts on my phone. I think I have everything set up properly on iCloud to sync but I obviously don't.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Log into iCloud with the same account on both the phone and Mac. Check the "Contacts" checkbox under iCloud on both devices, and your Contacts will appear on both devices and stay synced (change on one device is reflected on the other device).

Make sure to back up the Contacts on the Mac (the one with hundreds of contacts) before you sync them with iCloud, just in case iCloud syncs only the ones from the phone. If something strange happens like that, you can restore the Contacts from the Mac. To be even safer, manually create the 8 contacts that are on the phone on the Mac contacts list, then delete the ones on the phone, so you have only one large list to sync.

Thanks for your reply. I finally got it to work. I thought it was something like that but did not know how to go about it.
Regards.
