Dear members,

I've connected my iPhone to my iMac and opened iTunes.
Then I went to my iPhone in iTunes and clicked on "Info" above. I selected Sync Adress Book Contacts - All contact, because I wanted to transfer all my iPhone contacts to my new iMac but instead it synced all my Adress book contacts (2 contacts) to my iPhone and now I've lost all my 400 contacts in my iPhone :(

Can i restore this anyhow?

Please help me out, thanks!

When i right click my iPhone in itunes and choose Restore from backup it shows me only one backup. I've restored that, but no succes :(

Wait, I did it for the second time..this time it worked!

Thanks all for the help, this really shocked me but i'm glad my contacts are back now. Can anyone tell me the right way how to copy my iPhone contacts to my iMac's adressbook so that i won't mess up again? Thanks

what the heck?? they disappeared again. It seems that iTunes automatically synchs the contacts immediately AFTER restoring the backup, even though the setting "Prevent iPods, Iphones and iPads from synching automatically" is selected under the devices tab in the preferences.

How to stop it from synching?
