contacts icon?

when I upgraded to 2.0, the contacts icon, similar to the one found on the iPod touch, was next to the app store icon on my home screen. Did this happen to anyone else? Is this normal?

yeah...i don't know why it's necessary to have it. you can view your contacts already in the phone area. why the redundancy?

I personally like having it. It never made much sense to me to stick it in the the phone area. For stuff I don't use, like YouTube, I just made up a page that I moved the icons too and just don't go to that page.
