Hi everyone,

My issue is a little strange. I'm from San Francisco, but I am living in France for a few months so I purchased a French sim card. Many of my contacts' numbers did not include the +1 international code that is required to text/call numbers in the States. I can text/call them just fine if I go and search their for the contact, however for some reason for about half my contacts when I get a text from them, the notification bar doesn't show their name or the updated number showing the +1. For example for a number that is (510) 123-4567 it shows in the notification bar "5101234567" and then when I click on it will take me to the correct contact. Also, if I am texting someone that has this issue and I go to details from the message thread with them and try to call them, it does not go through as it does not have the +1.

It is as if somewhere my contacts have not been properly updated the +1 that I have entered.
This issue has now come about since I updated my Macbook Pro to El Capitan. Sometimes numbers I have saved will show up as just the number but when clicked on will show the name of the contact in the Mac messaging application.

I can try to grab a couple screenshots if it's not clear what I am explaining.

Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks so much
