contacts on Apple Watch showing just numbers

before I reset my watch wasn't sure if anybody else had this issue where contacts texts on the watch just shows numbers on texts and when I get phone calls and activity sharing just shows their e-mail? any way to fix this without resetting the watch?

Watch app>General>Reset>Reset Sync Data then give it a few minutes to erase contacts and re-sync them back from iPhone.
