So I don't know if this relates to an iOS 6 issue or iCloud. I've added a few contacts straight from Messages. I then go into my Contacts list, and I can't find them.

Later, I added that same directly from Contacts and after I add them, I see two phone numbers in the new profile I created for them in Contacts. They are both listed under "Linked Contacts" and one phone number says "Unknown" while the other says "iCloud".

Is there a way to avoid this or do I just have to add people through Contacts and no other place (even though Messages gives me that option)

thanks!

really? no one?

can anyone point me to the right forum I can get some help with this?

I would really appreciate it :)

When you open the Contacts app, hit Groups in the top left corner. Sounds like you might have multiple groups.

Thanks Stuke00,

No, i only have one group. here's a screenshot where i hit Groups...
