Contacts Sync

Hi,

I've got all of my contacts on my iPhone and I want them to be synced to my new Google account which is empty.

How do I go about this? All of the information online shows how to sync FROM Google TO Apple, not the other way.

Also, when I make changes to my Apple contacts I want this to be reflected on Google.

I suppose I'm asking if these two account can act as one for contacts.
