When i go and text someone, it suggests their number, even old ones that aren't even in my contact list anymore - how can i stop this from happening? Thanks

It's a general thing that exists in iOS 6 and before (at least 5 as well I believe) pretty much for everyone. Definitely at least a few threads about it but I don't recall if there are any solutions at the moment.
