content of my word file changed to symbols

Dear All,

I created a word document all texts not any picture and saved it. Later on I came back and opened it all texts were changed to symbols.

Is there any way how can I recover it to bring it back to normal.

have you tried changing the font? Highlight everything (Ctrl+A), then select a standard font, like Arial.

I have experienced a similar situation and selecting all and changing the font to a readable style worked for me. Other than that I don't know. I hope that it wasn't too important!

I have not changed the font just i opened Word copied and pasted some text from other file then added some extra paragraphs. It was a normal and simple Word document. all me texts changed like that (vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv%»»~~~#———o%»»~~~#———o%»»~~~#———o

that looks like what you would get when you open a temporary file, I have seen font like that working in Word on a PC. Not sure how to fix, check to see if there is another file in the same folder, or see if you can revert the file
