iPhone 6(S)/Plus Continual Re-Asking For Password Logging In ?

Hello,

Have a several year old iPhone 6S,

Recently, the last day or so, it continually asks me to re-log
in after just a few minutes of my non-usage.

Any way of having it stay on, even though not being used (although i guess it would be monitoring for eMails) without the continual requests for re-entering a Password.

Was never like this before.
Literally driving me nuts with the continual re-entering of Password every few minutes or so.

If you're presented with the option to just ignore it or cancel- do that.
Sometimes iCloud goes crazy and sorts itself out after a period of time.
