Wondering if anyone has seen their mobile data increase substantially since enabling Continuity Camera.

I got a notice from T Mobile this week that I was about to hit the 50 GB of high-speed data where I might see reduced speeds. The weird thing is that I couldn't remember using much data at all. For perspective, I almost always use less than 10 GB, and the one time that I got this message before was when I was streaming a lot of video while out, so it made sense.

I figured it was just some random thing, until I saw a message on my Mac a few days later. Something about continuity camera was not working over wifi and so it disconnected wifi from my phone. I've never actually used continuity camera. I'm assuming that it was either turned on when I upgraded the OS, or maybe I clicked yes on something at some time.

Regardless, I wonder if anyone else has seen their mobile usage spike after installing Continuity Camera. I'm assuming I've gotten that message before, but just never noticed. And if my phone is randomly being disconnected from wifi while I'm at home, that would totally explain the spike in data usage.

Thanks for that. I didn't know about that. Looking into it, that must be what happened. Continuity camera turned off my wifi to enhance the experience, but then other apps were then forced to use cellular data. I had over 20 gigs of podcasts downloaded last month, and I don't listen to any video podcasts. Not even sure what happened there, but it was definitely not one or two video streaming apps. Thanks again!
