Continuity over Shared WiFi

Hi everyone,
I just updated OSX to Yosemite and wanted to try Continuity features, but unfortunately at the moment I can't connect both devices via WiFi.
My question is, does someone know if I can use Continuity using the MacBook's shared internet connection? (My MacBook is connected through Ethernet and the iPhone through the WiFi connection created from the MacBook itself).
