Continuity - Phone keeps ringing

When I am home (both laptop and phone connected to the same network), someone calls me and I answer on my phone it keeps ringing on the callers phone. When I answer on my laptop it works as it is intended.

Anyone else experienced this and / or knows a possible fix.

I have a 2011 mba, and have enabled continuity, though it is marked as inactive since the last update of osx.

Thanks in advance for any potential help.
