Continuous scrolling with new remote?

I have some rather long lists of things in Home Sharing. Scrolling very far with the new remote is not practical. At best I can scroll a few entries down with one swipe. How am I supposed to scroll through 1000 entries? Is there some way to continuously scroll with the new remote that I'm missing?

The old remote still works with the new Apple TV, but c'mon.
