Contributors to the Site- Deleting Threads

Am I imagining this or were paying MacRumors Contributors able to delete their own threads in the past?

I posted a thread that didn’t need resolving anymore so I wanted to delete it but the option isn’t there (anymore?).

Was this feature removed or never even a thing? Lol.

Correct, contributors can delete their own posts. I am not sure if you can do that if you created a thread though.

Edit: confirmed, I can delete my regular posts but if that post started a thread you cannot delete it.

There never was an option to delete a thread, doing so would impact other people's posts.

Consider this, you started a thread, its active, lots of people posting, its several pages long, but you get angry and decide to remove it out of a fit of frustration - all of those people's posts, thoughts and opinions are gone.

Seriously though, paying got rid of all the ads and thusly the severe heating and battery drain of my phone. I’m on this site enough so worth the price of admission.
