I recently swapped out the 1TB hard drive with a ssd on a 2011 imac. The hard drive fan after the swap is spinning constantly at 1500 rpm under OSX which is fine with me. However, under Bootcamp, the hard drive fan spins to over 3000 rpm after a while which is too noisy for my ears.

I've tried several software to control the hard drive fan, but all of them can only set the minimum fan speed and not the maximum speed.

Can somebody please suggest any solutions for my problem?

Thanks
