Is it me, that finds, the control centre timer icon, annoying when it always goes to the timer section, instead of the alarm section, or last used section you were on, for example, world clock, or stop watch etc.

I agree completely. I gave feedback to Apple, but they seem to disagree.

I think the assumption is that what will you more often need quickly, a timer or an alarm? For most, I'd bet the timer. I know it's not ideal and they could implement better, but I understand the thinking.

It's a timer icon, so accordingly it goes to the timer.

I agree it's the "timer" icon. But I'd much prefer the alarm clock option.

it used to go to whatever screen you had open last in the alarm/clock app in a few betas until Apple decided that the timer icon in the control center actually took you to the timer. ;)

I think in general the preference is to be able to customize some parts of the Control Center. If anything that's really more or less what this is about.

If it would go the alarm section, people would complain that it should go the timer section. Can't please everybody.

Btw why do a lot of people on here call it "control centre?"

hey all.

thanks for your replies. Sorry I meant the timer icon. Don't know how to edit the title of this thread. Am glad I am not the only one who feels it can be annoying at times.

The "Alarm" tab is in the same physical area of the screen where Control Centre's timer icon is. If you don't move your finger it makes it a little bit simpler to get to your alarms.
