Control Iphone from Computer

Does anyone know of a way so that i can control the music selection playing on my iPhone through my computer?

i have my iphone plugged into a set of speakers across the room and if i want to change the playlist or something it would be sweet to be able to do that from my desk.

If you are jailbroken, you can install Veency on the iPhone and a VNC viewer on your computer and do just that. I can't remember what all that I had to do, but if you Google Veency, you should be able to find directions. It's kind of nice to have!
