Control iPod Touch (5th Gen) with Apple Watch?

Hi Everyone,

I've been playing music on my iPhone and controlling it from my watch (ie next song, pause, volume up and down). Can i do the same, but with the music coming from a 5th gen iPod?

Thanks for any info :)
