Is there an attachable game controller for my iPhone that anyone can recommend? I’m signing up for Apple Arcade and figure an attachable controller would be the best way to play these games...

No attachable. Wireless via Bluetooth is the best way to go for this

I bought the original for my iPhone 7+. I didn't like the thumbsticks or the triggers. They improved them on later versions from what I've read.

You have get adapters for the PS4 and Xbox controllers on Amazon and eBay that you clip to the controller and then will have a mount that holds your phone to the controller.
