OS X controller input lag

Does anyone else get input lag when using a xbox360 controller or PS3?

I get it w/ black ops and trine, don't have any other games downloaded to try any else...I don't like keyboard/mouse, so bought a controller, however the input lag is ridiculous.

Trine - can't even draw a box correctly for the wizard.
Black Ops - close encounters are disaster, same with a moving target.

If you are using a game with built in gamepad support you get no lag, if you are using a mapping program like Gamepad companion you can get some lag.
