So I'm new to the AW game (and new as a registered user on this forum, but been reading on this site for a long time).

But a thing I noticed is that I can't start playing i.e. a new album on my phone trough the watch. I can skip tracks in the currently playing album adjust volume etc from the watch, but starting a new album always gives me a message that it can not be done.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

It is a bit irritating since it would be nice to just start a new album without having to bring up my phone. But it is also a first world problem :p

I don't stream music, I only listen to music locally stored on my phone (or watch).

As long at the watch says "iPhone" at the top left hand side of the music app screen then you can select albums from your phone but rather than go through the laborious task of typing a list of instructions, this link should assist.

Nope doesn't work.

I just get a message that I can not play this item on the phone.

And those instructions just switches from now playing app to music app on the watch and then I can't start a new album on the phone. So basically what I've already have tried to do.

It's not just you. If I am listening to anything from my iPhone and then try to use my watch to pick a different song or album from a specific artist, it always plays one certain album from my phone. If I try to shuffle a certain album from a certain artist, it plays the one random album that it always reverts to. It will let me shuffle play any artist and it will also let me play any playlist or pick a song from any playlist. Strange.

Not necessarily as explained above. Kind of works for some things for me and not for others.
