Kind of. If you start sometime playing with the Sonos app, it will show up under "what's playing". You can do things like skipping and jumping to the next song. I've found it not completely reliable, though. And this won't let you start new tunes without going back to the app.
There is no official Sonos for Apple Watch app, although it's something people have been asking for. There is at least one second-party watch app, but I haven't tried this route myself.
It is possible that when Sonos enables support for AirPlay 2 next month, this situation may become better.
Try this app - ZonePlay: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zoneplay/id908958813?mt=8
Does have a cost $4bucks USD
But you can control all your favorites and stations, local music, etc. from the Apple Watch. I use it, does what I expected and is convenient.
Sadly I have never seen music played through my Sonos system show up under the "what's playing" app.Kind of. If you start sometime playing with the Sonos app, it will show up under "what's playing".
Sadly I have never seen music played through my Sonos system show up under the "what's playing" app.It does work on my iPhone/iPad though so it also should work on the watch, but for some reason doesn't...at least for me. Not sure why, but alas.
Try the Sonos Controller App, which does work on my iPhone, although i don’t use it bc my Sonos is integrated into the Harmony App universal controller, which if you have it, you’re set. The Harmony App, though, requires buying a Harmony Hub, so there’s that.
If the Sonos Controller can be found inside the Apple Watch App (after downloading it your phone first), you should be able to get a version on your Watch. Let us know if this works.
Yes, I checked too. Not there. Maybe ask them if they are going to produce a watch app? The work around is a 3rd party universal controller such as Harmony (Logitech). There's no Watch App available for Sonos Controller.
