General Controlling the Color of status bar items?

Hi everyone,

In my latest quest at working on my setup I've come across the desire to want to be able to control the things in the status bar's color - things like the wifi signal strength, zeppelin logo, battery, etc. Is there a way to make them be one color and stay one color? Right now they seem to change to white if its a dark background or dark if its a light background. And I want them to be one color neither white nor black.
