Maybe this is a thread for the the Peripherals sub-forum, but considering it's audio I thought I'd try here.

Is there any issue using a ControTalk cable (Like on the Beats Solo 2's or Sennheiser Urbanites, or Apples own IEMs) with say an AudioQuest DragonFly? Or any other standard 3.5mm audio jack not designed for inline mics and play/pause/etc. buttons?

How does that work, exactly?
