Hi MacRumors,
I have an iPhone 5 running IOS 9. The iPhone has had the number transferred once (it's a hand-me-down). The phone ran out of battery while I was writing a text message and performed an auto-shutoff. On reboot, I had lost all of the messages from that specific conversation, but the other conversations were lost. The previous message attachments were still shown in the conversation details.
Please let me know if anybody else has had this issue, or if there's a way to restore one conversation without a backup (I don't want to lose the messages from other recent conversations).
Thanks for your time!
-Jack
