I have an older analog to digital video converter for editing. I am trying to input audio/video into Final Cut Pro HD. I am trying to input SD video. Problem is, everytime I try and log the video, Final Cut tells me there is no video and closes the video. On top of that, it appears the video from the DVD player is only seen in the capture monitor for an undetermined amount of time before it stops playing in the capture monitor.

How is possible to see the video and it tell me there is no video?
Why is the video seen in the capture monitor for a limited time?

Can anyone help?
