I have a lot of photos I want to transfer to the iPad 2. But they're all in original large resolution sizes taken from my digital camera. It seems like a waste of space to transfer high resolution images when I'm only going to show them in on the iPad's lower resolution.

Is there a way for iTunes or another program to batch down-convert the resolution of many photos at once for transfer to the iPad?

iTunes automatically optimizes the photos for the device (e.g., iPhone or iPad) from Aperture or iPhoto, but to be honest I don't know what resolution it uses or what if any other compression it might employ.

As I know that iTunes will automatically reduce the resolution of your photos according to your device, So you do not need to worry about it.;)
