Conversion of unplayable files

I have a bunch of iTunes files I bought from an old account ( had lost and just found). I want to add them to my iTunes but when I try to play them it tells me they are unauthorized, and ask me to log in. When I try I can not as the account associated with them is inactive. Is there a way to unlock these files?

Try to log in to the Apple ID site. Maybe it will give you more details there.

Thank you I thought as much and it is understandable. I guess i will have to continue my search on the net.
