I've many songs in wma format that need to be converted before i can listen from itune. I did a search in this forum and found this recommendation.

http://blog.flvto.net/convert-wma-to-mp3-on-mac/

I called up Apple this morning and they recommended me a 3rd party which is Kigo Converter. I did a Goole search and turns out quite a few. Here is just one:

I did further search and in fact there are plenty 3rd software for conversion.

I'm quite confused. Can someone advise which is a proven one?

Thanks

I was under the impression iTunes converted them is at imported them into it's library.

Only on Windows. iTunes for Mac doesn't read .wma files.
That's rather poor. So much for trying to make the transition for PC to Mac easy. I guess Windows comes with the codecs needed though, whereas OS X doesn't. Oh well.

Conversion is so quick and simple, it's painless. Select the files, right-click, Open with All2MP3, click Convert. Done!
