I have around 10 different e-mail addresses that I check in Apple mail.

All are POP3-configured, but now I want to change ALL of those account types to IMAP. On exactly the same server.

Is this possible in any way...? By editing some config files or anything...?

I just came back to Mac after a long period away, having just discovered the geniality of IMAP-mail.

Excellent if you can help me out.

It does, and with exactly the same name on the server. I.e. mail.mydomain.com - its the same for POP3 and IMAP.

100% support here. I just want to know if its possible to edit the config files for Mail and change the Mail account type from POP to IMAP...?

Assuming you know correct keys to change in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist then I suppose so. I suspect changing them in the app preferences will be faster though...

Gonna check that... The option for picking mail account type is greyed out in Apple Mail. Newest version...
