My photo editing needs are minimal. I have a lot of photos in an Aperture library. I'd like to get rid of Aperture entire, get it off my computer, and import the existing Aperture photo library into the new Photos, and have that as my Photos library.

How do I do this?

Thanks!

When you first start Photos it will search your drive and find the Aperture library and present it in a list. Just select that library for import and wait for it to finish.

Then open Photos and make sure all the photos are there. Now just delete the Aperture library then drag the Aperture application into the trash.
