In case someone needs a tip on how to convert a case sensitive to case insensitive APFS under 10.13.4:
(internal SSD 128 GB, APFS casesensitive, 40GB used)
- Open Disk Utility
- Create a second APFS volume (case insensitive) choosing add volume (not partition)
- Clone first volume to the new one (I used CarbonCopyCloner)
- Rebootet using the new volume
- Erase the older one using Disk Utility
This is much faster than partitioning. Found the this somewhere on the internet, worked for me like charme. Maybe it helps someone else.
