hi,
how can i convert my flv files to mp4 or an iphone user friendly format? I have googled a few, but none have been successful...can anyone recommend a free basic easy one?

tks

iSquint (free, but on which development has ceased) is generally considered to be the simplest tool for this purpose. See if you can find a copy of it floating around.

Hi

I had visualhub, but that has now gone & isquint I couldn't find anywhere. I have the same problem.

I have no idea how to convert .flv to my iphone & would appreciate any guidance

Thanks & happy Chrimbo

I use Perian, a sort of plugin that you install into your system preferences that links to your Quicktime for "weird" file formats, like FLV. You can find that here: http://www.perian.org/ its totally free! :D Which explains why I use it so much ;)
To convert FLV to mp4, simply play the flv file in Quicktime after getting Perian, and click export under File. Unfortunately the quality of the picture sometimes decreases, and in some cases the audio goes wrong (in other words, no audio). Depends, I'm not too sure 'cause I don't use this way much. You can also choose to Save/Save As instead, converting it into a MOV file.

Besides that, I mostly use iSquint, which can be found

Hope you'll be able to do what you're looking for! Merry Christmas! :D
