iPod touch Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 Kbps AAC

The iPod shuffle has a feature to automatically convert your high-bitrate songs to 128 Kbps AAC. Does the iPod touch have this feature? It would be really nice considering I have a fair bit of lossless files that would otherwise be tedious to convert.
