Convert .mov to .avi/.mpeg?

I was wondering, is there a way to convert the .mov video clip from the iPad camera to a .mpeg so I can send it to windows users so they can open the video clip?

If I share with others, I consider it their responsibility to convert to a format that their system can read.

Windows people can watch .MOV format files through VLC or Quicktime Media player.
I wouldn't bother.

I agree, BUT, if I want to take a video and send it from my iPad to someone who cannot figure this out, is there an app for this?

Yes, recorded on and sent from iPad.

I've never found a tool on the ipad to convert it, but you can send it by message, youtube, email directly.

The easiest is of course youtube.
Setting up an account, upload to youtube, then send the link by email to your friend/relative/whatever.

Other alternatives, are dropbox,box,twitter. Again, providing links to the other party. Uploading them is fine, but of course windows computers will need quicktime, you can get this at:

It's a very simple install.
