I just got the iPod touch (32gb). Got a bunch'a movies on my computer (avi, mkv). Is there a good converter that is FREE for those file types? i know visualhub was popular but was like $30 but according the site it no longer exists? is that correct? I downloaded iSquint and am currently using it to convert avi's to mp4, but i was wondering if it will convert mkv? is iSquint the best out there right now?

will it convert mkv's? and if so, should i convert them to mp4 or h.264? and whats the diff?

I downloaded free-ipod-video-converter.exe (windows) from I don't know where, I've been reading a lot lately, but it's suppose to take any format and convert it for Ipod. It will just chug away. I did a college football game last night. I'm anxious to see if it will actually play. Anyone try this?
