Convert to "......" has been removed?!

Hey guys. . .I used to be able to right click on a song and choose "Convert to AAC" to convert the song but now I can't. . .the option isn't in the pop-up menu.

I have changed my preferences (Import preferences) to MP3 and Lossless just to see if that would make a difference - but nothing has changed.

Have Apple removed this? I'm stuck with useless AIFF's that my iPhone can't play as they are too big.

Thanks guys! I read that Apple guide on the support website but presumed the "advanced menu" was what they called the little "right click menu pop up".

I said it was removed from the menu, you must have read it backwards.

Maybe Steve Jobs has an unsuspecting user account on MacRumors and likes to help out with problems he caused himself. Maybe that's why he needed an iPad so badly.

No, I haven't heard why. My guess is they determined it probably wasn't a frequently-used function and wanted to make room on the right-click menu for something else. However, I can't recall what all used to be on the menu, so I don't know if something has been added. I do know the "Create XXX version" used to be there, but I'm not sure which update took it away. I'm sure some searching in the forum would turn up screen caps of the menu when it was there.
